SINGLETON, Judge. Jewel Walker, Jr., was convicted of assault in the first degree, a class A felony. AS 11.41.200(a) (1). He raises one point on appeal, that the evidence presented at trial was insufficient to support a verdict of guilty of first-degree assault. Alaska Statute 11.41.200(a) provides that. "A person commits the crime of assault in the first degree if (1) that person recklessly causes serious physical injury to another by means of a dangerous instrument. " Alaska Statute 11.81.900(b)(50) defines "serious physical injury" as follows:
